Together we will navigate which practices best fit your needs and how these skills can help meet your goals. I specialize in CBT, REBT, and DBT, and I have extensive training in Animal Assisted Interventions. I am also happy to incorporate religion or spirituality (R-CBT) into sessions at the client's discretion.
I am trained in therapeutic crisis intervention, and as a Type 1 diabetic myself, I have spent over a decade working in the realm of health psychology and self-image.
Like the challenges we face, the therapeutic approaches used to address them often overlap. I view therapy as creating your own personal life-skills tackle box: you will have different bait, hooks, and reels - skills, language, actions - and when we learn how to use these tools effectively, they become the most helpful. If you are ready to build your toolbox and gain confidence in how you tackle each day, let's connect and begin (or continue) your therapeutic journey.
